Robert sul palco guida di Messina
Hi Robert, can you introduce about yourself to italians readers?
I´m 25 years old. Before I was working at shepherd micro racing I worked as a Cad/Cam user at a company which is building parts for airplanes. Now I develope our own car which is a very complicate thing for us, because we have never done before to develop from beginning ourselves. For sure also my job is to make the races. For this I´m very happy! | La Velox
You and Patrick Schafer are the only “Sheperd Driver” against many Kyosho, Serpent, Mugen, Motonica…; not easy for the set-up without other team mate…
Yes that is right! But in the moment I can say that we are growing to a stronger team for the next year with well known drivers! | Sul podio a Lostallo con Picco
What do you think about your 2007 RC Season in Germany?
My 07 season in Germany was great because I was win every race where I was driving. But anyway in Germany we have a small problem because there are not so many strong drivers as in Italy. This situation makes it not easyer for the international races.

What do you think about your 2007 European Championship?
I was not happy with my performance at the euro`s! In the practice I had many technical problems. That was the reason because I can`t take perfect 5minutes qualifying. In the semifinal I was starting with to small tyres and so I lose the final only for one position! Also I think that there was some bad thing with fuel (maybe some not legal).

Your WC in Argentina was very positive; what about your qualifying?
The qualifying in Cordoba was good for me. I was on 6th position. Unfortinately there was 2 run`s with rain conditions, because in my best qualifiying run I had some small mistakes for loosing the top 4.

And about the semifinal?
In the semifinal my car was not so good as in qualifying and someone crashed me when I was on third position close before the end. So my pipe and a tyre was destroyed and the final was away.
| Which is the “Plus” of your Velox against others cars?
I can`t say because I`m the designer of the car. We was looking for a different design of the complete car. The bulkheads are 7075 aluminium. There are many ideas for making the setup change much more easy. Also we have a special system with the chassis which works very good. And for sure the brake is completely different. But you can see new pictures on our website www.team-shepherd.com | And the “Minus”?
I think that we make it to early official that we build a new car. In the moment many people is waiting for the car. But the time we take is a normal time for the development of a 1/8 scale car.
| Many RC Drivers are waiting for the Velox; when they can find it in the shops?
The car will be available before the season 2008!
